Austin Shakespeare’s-The Glass Menagerie

Austin’s award-winning actor Marc Pouhé portrays Tom, who remembers his journey as a young poet who tangles with his lively Southern mother – played by the acclaimed Franchelle S. Dorn, and his sensitive beloved sister Laura played by the versatile, Khali Sykes. Now portrayed as an African American family, the cast also boasts Kenah Benefield as the “gentleman caller.” The Glass Menagerie highlights some of the American playwright’s most imagistic and rhythmic language and will feature live violin accompaniment by Bennie Braswell.
