The band’s first formal concert of the season will showcase Dreamland, a wonderful and imaginative new work for wind band by the award-winning composer Michael Markowski. Also on the program will be a performance of Claude Smith’s stunning Fantasia for Alto Saxophone featuring the talented local performing artist Elizabeth Rosinbum. Additionally, UT Masters Program student Alex Avelia, Euphonium, will perform Philip Sparke’s Harlequin with band accompaniment. Richard Floyd conducts.
