Banger’s Cider-bration!
Sep 28, 2017 - Oct 2, 2017
FreeIt’s Banger’s first ever Cider-Bration! We’re paying tribute to our favorite fruity beer cousin by tapping an EPIC cider list! There will be sausage specials! There will be bobbing for apples!
On Thursday evening, reps from some of these amazing cideries will be out to meet, greet, and answer your questions.
The Ciders:
Seattle Cider Company Dry Cider – One of the driest ciders on the market. This unique unfiltered cider lends way to notes of lilac, blood orange and green apple on the nose and hits the palate with no residual sweetness. (Washington)
Argus Cidery Apple Bomb – A demi-sec, or slightly sweet, full bodied cider that delivers a blast of fruit and finishes big with a tannic, fruity pucker. This is not a subtle cider, but a fresh apple explosion derived from a collection of fermentation techniques and patience. (ATX)
Argus Cidery Vinho Pearde – A one-of-a-kind Perry achieved utilizing a lagering process, delivering a clean pear palate. With tropical fruit notes on the nose, Vinho Pearde drinks demi-sec with a bit of residual sweetness and is lightly sparkled with a slightly tart finish. (ATX)
Austin Eastciders Original – A crisp, smooth, and dry craft cider made with European bittersweet apples and American dessert apples. (ATX)
Austin Eastciders Hopped – A crisp, dry cider made with Pacific Northwest hops and heirloom bittersweet apples. (ATX)
Texas Keeper Cider(Seasonal) – To Be Announced!
Soda 917 – El Gobernador Natural – This complex cider has notes of fresh apples, damp earth, a distinct funkiness and savory umami aromas and flavors. (Spain)
Shacksbury Citra Spritz – Dry, light, sour and refreshing with a vibrant citrus nose. Apple varieties – McIntosh, Empire, Cortland, Red Delicious, and Macoun. (Vermont)
Shacksbury Ticonderoga – Fermented cool and slow then aged in rye and Madeira barrels from Whistle Pig. The result is a cider that is dry, complex, and sophisticated. (Vermont)
Schilling Beer Co. Lumberjack Rhubarb Pear Cider – This axe-swinging Lumberjack will make you want to get lost in the woods! He’s earthy, rugged, and just the right amount of dry. But underneath all of that rough and tough, he’s as sweet as an early autumn pear. (Washington)
Bishop Cider Co. Crackberry – Cranberry & blackberry, a perfect pairing of flavors tart and sweet, joining forces to create a colorful, well-balanced cider. (Dallas)
Cidre Le Brun UK Brut de Bretagne – Crisp, well balanced, and interesting, this cider has a grip to it, but also has depth and character. (France)
Finnriver Black Current Cider – Bright apple base from fermented organic WA apples, blended with the sweet and tart juice of black currant. (Washington)
Ace Premium Craft Cider Pineapple – The world’s first ever Pineapple cider. They love pineapples in California, so they tried adding fresh pineapple juice to their apple cider and it resulted in this delicious tropical libation! (California)
Ace Space Bloody Orange Cider – Dry California Apple Cider with Blood Oranges (California)
Moonlight Meadery How Do you Like Them Sour Apples – Lambic-inspired sour cider. Aged for over a year in French oak with yeast and bacteria isolated from a local orchard. (New Hampshire)
