Blanton Block Party

Celebrate the opening of Ellsworth Kelly’s “Austin” and explore the Blanton inside and out during this FREE day-to-night community festival!
The Blanton Block Party is the perfect fusion of live music and world-class art, providing outdoor family art activities, local food, and tours throughout the day. 

LIVE MUSIC: Austin music favorites including *Black Fret grant recipients will perform throughout the day.
11am → Diverse Space Dance Theatre
12pm → Peterson Brothers Band*
1pm → The Pans of Texas
2pm → World Premiere with Henna Chou & Steve Parker
3:30pm → Jackie Venson* 
5pm → Cowboy Diplomacy*
6:30pm → Jane Ellen Bryant*
8pm → Suzanna Choffel*
9:30pm → The Bright Light Social Hour
ART ACTIVITIES: Get creative and participate in a variety activities throughout the museum including Industry Print Shop bandana printing, The Dirty Easel painting, and outdoor family programs. We’ll also be applying exclusive “Austin” Tattly temporary tattoos while supplies last!
FOOD / DRINK: Enjoy tasty bites from Austin Chai Wala, Pueblo Viejo, and Hummus Among Us ATX or satisfy your sweet tooth with treats from Pinkberry Austin. Our Museum Café will also provide a variety of choices, and drinks will be available via The North Door. Cash or credit is accepted.
PRIZES: We’ll be giving out prizes throughout the day so be sure to RSVP to a link we will provide (TBD) for your chance to take home a prize!

The Blanton is located at the intersection of Congress Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
Paid parking is available in the Blanton/Brazos Garage on Brazos Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Parking is $4; bring your ticket with you to the front desk of the museum.
