We Are Blood’s Annual Battle of the Badges 2019

We Are Blood, the exclusive provider of the blood supply for 10 counties in Central Texas, hosts Battle of the Badges, an annual competition between Austin Police Department, Austin-Travis County EMS and Austin Fire Department to encourage much-needed blood donations. Individuals that donate July 1 through July 7 will have the opportunity to vote for one of the competing departments. The departments will battle it out to see who can recruit the most blood donors and the one to receive the most votes is declared the winner.

Show your support for first responders by booking your appointment today! Donors are encouraged to eat a full meal and stay hydrated on the day of donation. Don’t forget to let a representative know which department you’re voting for when you check-in! For questions and appointments, donors can visit https://weareblood.org or call 512-206-1266. Donations take place at one of three fixed donor centers or via select mobile drives. Walk-ins are welcome.
