DISRUPTED: Kathy Dunn Hamrick Dance Co. Presents

Kathy Dunn Hamrick Dance Company opens the new season with DISRUPTED, a shared concert that includes a premiere by choreographer Kathy Dunn Hamrick, whose work has been described as “masterly modern dancemaking” and a performance by Dark Circles Contemporary Dance from Dallas.

Hamrick’s new work, “The Four (3) Seasons,” is set to “Recomposed by Max Richter: Vivaldi’s Four Seasons.”  Dark Circles Contemporary Dance from Dallas will present their “imaginative, bold, and unforgettable” re-imagining of Stravinsky’s hundred-year-old master work “The Rite of Spring.” Set in a 1950’s gymnasium, choreographer Joshua L. Peugh uses senior prom as a vehicle for reinventing Stravinsky’s solemn pagan rite.
