The 5th annual Ascent Speaker Luncheon presented by Explore Austin, will
feature guest speaker Colin O’ Brady, a professional endurance athlete and two-time world
record holder. O’ Brady accomplished these feats and more following a massive burn injury,
impacting 25% of his body in 2008.

In 2016, Colin conquered the speed records for the Explorers Grand Slam and Seven Summits
by climbing the tallest mountain on every continent and skiing the North and South Poles. For

The Ascent luncheon is an opportunity for corporations and individuals to support the mission of
Explore Austin and their efforts to transform the lives of underserved youth through leadership,
mentoring and adventure. This year, Explore Austin will serve 300 Explorers and 90 Mentors in
a year-round experience. The program also includes nine monthly Saturday Challenges and 18
