You can refuel at our café with a slice of pizza & glass of wine for $5 (available after 5pm).

5:30-6:15pm ~ Beat the Rush: Charlie Magnone
Skip the ATX traffic and experience this unique program for emerging artists. This week’s program is led by Fast Forward Austin‘s Co-Director Charlie Magnone, presenting “Mad Rush” by Philip Glass (performed by Charlie Magnone), Philip Glass String Quartet 5 selections (performed by Invoke), and “Piano Phase” by Steve Reich (performed by Joshua Straub and Charlie Magnone).
7:30-8:00pm ~ Slow Looking
Enjoy a thoughtful and relaxed 30-minute conversation about a single work of art on view at the museum.
And don’t miss our current exhibition “Line Form Color,” a selection of bold works on paper from our collection.
Museum admission is always free on Thursdays. On the third Thursday of each month, the museum remains open until 9 pm.
The Blanton is located at the intersection of Congress Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
Paid parking is available in the Blanton/Brazos Garage on Brazos Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Parking is $4; bring your ticket with you to the front desk of the museum.
