About:
The Soil of the Soul exhibition is a line of artworks dedicated and inspired by wine and the wine community. Wine has a long history linked to culture, art, religion, territory, and people; it expresses so much more than just a Terroir. People enjoy when a wine tells a story. The desire to improve one’s knowledge can be a solo journey or enhanced with the tutelage of a sommelier.
In creating The Soil of the Soul, Mila worked intimately with the sommelier, Julia Dixon, of Somm Wings. Julia guided Mila in understanding the nuances of wine and Mila became a passionate wine lover. Julia’s love for wine inspired Mila’s The Soil of the Soul. The name of the exhibition originates from the idea that the character of a wine is defined by the types of soil and how the soul10 is defined by the soil where we live and love. We all come from somewhere and everywhere.
