With the popularity of chalk art festivals in Texas, could Austin be the next venue?
If Austin loves anything besides tacos, it’s art! And of course Harry Potter!
Local artist and teacher, April Ferrante, will be at Austin Public Library (Central branch) doing a live chalk drawing of a scene from Harry Potter. Which scene will she be doing? You’ll have to stop by and find out before this temporary art magically disappears.
You’ll be able to take pictures with the artist and get some street art tips. The artist will be offering a street art class at Dougherty Arts Center later this year and is advocating for Austin’s very first street chalk art festival!
