Holiday at the Oaks

Given your interest in family events in Austin and the greater area, I wanted to bring your attention to Holiday at the Oaks! On Wednesday, November 20th from 5-7 pm, the Oaks will host a free, kid-friendly event featuring live music, food and beverage tastings, holiday craft making, raffle giveaways from our tenant partners, and of course, photos with Santa. Adult attendees can enjoy a “business off the clock” happy hour networking event with the Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce and all guests are invited to bring a toy to help us “Fill Santa’Sleigh” for Green Santa. The Oaks at Lakeway is a family-focused shopping center and serves as the town center in the beautiful hill country community of Lakeway. This event is perfect for families who are looking for fun activities to do with their kids and wanting to celebrate the holiday season. Santa, horse-drawn carriage rides, and live music are a few of the family fun activities community members do not want to miss. Oaks’ tenants will also provide raffle items, giveaways, retail specials, activities for kids, and adult beverage and food tastings for parents! Highlighting the landscape of the center, most of the activity will take place in two courtyards – a children’s courtyard and an adult courtyard -providing non-stop fun for every member of the family.  The Hudson Bend Middle School cheer squad will be “Santa’s Elves” for the evening and we encourage families to bring a gift card or unwrapped toy to help”Fill Santa’s Sleigh” for Green Santa of Lake Travis Labor of Love. Upon delivery of an unwrapped toy or gift card, your child can hop onto Santa’s lap and deliver his or her Christmas list! 100% of toys and cards donated will go towards foster children. We would love to tell 365 Austin’s readers about our multifaceted, FREE, family-friendly event, and of course, highlight our collaboration with Lake Travis Labor of Love to raise awareness and maximize toy donations. This is our second Holiday at the Oaks, and we plan for it to become an annual staple in everyone’s holiday plans.  Thank you for consideration for feature coverage.
