Jo’s 19th Annual Easter Pet Parade

This is the place for dogs in drag. Our annual Pet Parade is beloved by all who have come across it – it’s hard not to love animals in outfits. Liz Lambert created the annual Pet Parade to honor the life of her late brother and best friend Lyndon, who was a pet lover and the founder of the San Francisco pet store “George.”
We parade down South Congress with a marching band and outfitted pets in tow, and arrive in the parking lot for a pet costume competition. Then we hang out for a few hours to eat, drink, and ogle a lot of great looking animals while a band or two plays. All proceeds from the entry fees benefit Austin Pets Alive!

Pet Parade is open to all. Registration is only necessary to participate in the contest. To march without competing, just show up at the starting location (Hudson’s Meat Market at 1800 South Congress) at noon sharp.
