I’m sure most of us know someone running in the marathon-and even if you don’t-these runners need lots of support! Having run a marathon and cheered on my friends, I can say that seeing everyone cheering for you is very motivating and much needed, especially when you get to the last few miles. So go support your favorite runner! And if you don’t have any favorites, go support everybody!

If you’re looking to take this outing to the next level, make a sign for the runners. Here are a few of my favorites: “(Persons Name) is kicking asphalt,”  and “Dear Stranger, you are my hero.”

The Livestrong Website has an entire spectator section, so you can see some of the best spots to spectate.
