Lunar New Year Kickoff

Celebrate new beginnings and honor the past on Saturday, January 18 at H MART’s Lunar New Year Kickoff. Since the Year of the Rat officially commences at the end of the month, guests are invited to celebrate a little early with food and drink as well as fun and games.

Modeled around the common holiday traditions upheld in Korea and numerous other Asian countries, this event promises a fun immersion into the Lunar New Year celebration experience. Guests can try their hand at Korean top-spinning, slap-match and other customary games, or suit up in traditional Korean dress (provided) for a snapshot in the Hanbok Photo Zone. Attendees can get a taste of the Lunar New Year’s culinary customs with free samples of dumplings and rice cakes along with libations from the food hall’s bar including 99 cent drink specials of Hite Beers and discounts on Bohae Bokbunjajoo and Mal Guel Soo Rok Korean wines. Guests who make a purchase of three or more drinks will receive a complimentary shot glass while supplies last. In-store Lunar New Year discounts on select items will also be available in the grocery area.
This event is free, family-friendly and open to the public. Food samples, drink specials and shopping discounts will run while supplies last.
