March on the Kitchen @ L’Oca d’Oro
Jan 25, 2017 @ 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm$75
On Wednesday, January 25, 2017, a group of Central Texas’ most talented female chefs and bartenders will unite to create a special evening at L’Oca d’Oro. The event will bring together female leaders who shape our community and highlight their importance in the culinary industry. The proceeds will benefit SAFE Austin, a partnership of Austin’s Children’s Shelter and SafePlace dedicated to ending child abuse, sexual assault, and domestic violence.
Each chef will contribute by preparing a dish to be served during the coursed dinner. The lineup of female chefs includes Abby Love of Dai Due (Austin), Susana Querejazu of Barley Swine and Odd Duck (Austin), Amanda Turner of Juniper (Austin), Kristine Kittrell of Weather Up (Austin), and Alex Manley, formerly of Bufalina and Josephine House (Austin). Erin Murtagh of Chicon and Contigo (Austin) will serve as the Women’s March mixologist, serving beverages to complement the meal. She will be joined by 2015 Food & Wine Sommelier of the Year and former wine director at LaV, Vilma Mazaite (Austin), who will be pouring wine by female winemakers and telling their stories.
Tickets to the March on the Kitchen dinner are available for purchase for $75 per person with a $40 wine pairing option. Menu details are to be announced. A portion of proceeds will benefit SAFE Austin. Seatings are available between 5-10 p.m., and reservations can be made by calling 737-212-1876 or emailing email@example.com
