Maudie’s Moonlight Margarita Run

Back for its 19th year, the Maudie’s Moonlight Margarita Run (MMR) 5K fun run brings two of Austin’s favorite things together – running and margaritas! Each dollar raised from the race will ensure that the Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail remains one of Austin’s greatest assets for generations to come.

The Trail Foundation is excited to welcome runners back for an in-person evening race on Thursday, June 2, 2022 beginning at 8 p.m. at Sand Beach Park in downtown Austin. Participants can choose to run or walk the 5K race and celebrate with Maudie’s Tex-Mex at the finish-line party!

Registration includes race entry, an iconic MMR t-shirt, and two Maudie’s Margaritas and some Maudie’s Tex Mex at the post-race party. In celebration of the Butler Trail’s 50th anniversary, MMR will feature fun twists at the event this year. Break out your best 1970s running gear and celebrate with us!
