September 21 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

$60

The National Museum of the Pacific War will hold its annual symposium on Saturday, September 21st at the University of Texas, San Antonio’s (UTSA) Main Campus Student Union, Retama Auditorium. This year’s symposium, hosted by the UTSA History Department, will focus on Operational Command and Control in the Pacific Theater during World War II. It will closely examine the methods and styles chosen by four command and control centers in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater of War. The day-long event will analyze the three individuals whose presence in their command and control structure was most profound: General MacArthur, Admiral Nimitz and Lord Mountbatten.

Tickets are $60 for Admiral Nimitz Foundation Members and $70 for non-members. A fully catered lunch on the UTSA campus is included in the ticket cost. A closing reception in the Student Union Denman Ballroom will immediately follow the conclusion of the symposium. The reception is a great opportunity to meet the days’ speakers and learn from your fellow attendees.
