NEGRONI STROLL DOWN SOUTH LAMAR

South Lamar hot spots Backbeat, Eberly, VOX Table, El Burro and The Highball have collaborated to bring Austinites the Negroni Stroll Down South Lamar to raise money for Speed Rack’s SHARE Cancer Support initiative. The event is in honor of Imbibe Magazine and Campari’s Fifth Annual Negroni Week (June 5-11), a celebration of one of the world’s great cocktails and an effort to raise money for charities around the world.
 
Here’s how it works: Guests can purchase a $25 ticket/wristband online in advance (link below), which will grant them access to a sample of each respective bar’s riff on the Negroni cocktail. On Thursday, June 8, check-in will begin at 6 p.m. in Eberly’s Cedar Tavern bar, where ticketholders will receive a passport with five tickets (one for each participating venue). From Eberly, guests are encouraged to stroll up to the Lamar Union, before hitting the last stop, geographically speaking, Backbeat. There is no order for this self-guided tour of Negroni imbibing, beyond the required check-in at Eberly.
 
Proceeds from all ticket sales will be donated to SHARE. This event is sponsored by Campari USA (Campari, Russell’s Reserve Bourbon, Appleton Estate Jamaican Rum), Aviation American Gin, Cinzano Vermouth and El Silencio Mezcal.
