Based on the 2007 film of the same name starring Irish musician Glen Hansard and standout Czech actress Markéta Irglová, ONCE encapsulates the same enchanting melodies and storytelling that earned the film’s signature ballad, “Falling Slowly,” a 2008 Academy Award for Best Original Song amidst a competitive Oscar season. ONCE borrows the songs and tone of the original film, with a few twists and turns of its own.
