Peace Day Austin

September 21 is the International Day of Peace and Peace Day Austin will be celebrating throughout the city.  A wonderful new addition to the celebration is the UT Bell Tower!  The University of Texas Guild of Carillonneurswill ring the UT Tower Bells from 11:55am to noon.  In addition to the UT Carillon, come check out these special activities and treats:

·       Amy’s Ice Creams, special Peace Day Austin flavor, Reese’s Peace (Mexican Vanilla with Reese’s peanut butter cup) available at all locations from Sunday, September 18 – 21

·       Image projection to celebrate Peace Day Austin on ZACH’s Topfer Theatre on

Wednesday, September 21 from dusk to dawn, ZACH Theatre, 202 S. Lamar

·       Church Bells Ring in Unity on Peace Day, Wednesday, 12:01 pm, September 21

·       The University of Texas Guild of Carillonneurs to ring the UT Tower Bells from 11:55am to noon on Wednesday, September 21 in celebration of International Peace Day.  Followed by moment of silence.

·       Global Minute of Silence at Noon on Peace Day, Wednesday, September 21
