Preparing for Big Bend National Park

$50Join our knowledgeable instructors to learn how to plan your backpacking trip through the rugged landscape of Big Bend National Park. We will cover the essentials of hydration, nutrition, backcountry camp selection, equipment and outdoor skills that will help you succeed. Covering more than 1200 square miles, Big Bend National Park draws hikers, backpackers and outdoor enthusiasts from all over to an amazing backcountry experience. This unique area offers forest covered mountains and one of the best examples of the Chihuahuan Desert in the US. Our experienced instructors will share their tips, tricks and knowledge of the park, so bring your pack and all your gear for an informative and active day out with the experts. Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a participating responsible adult.
