Austin Shakespeare, in conjunction with the University of Austin, presents Shakespeare’s classic love story, Romeo and Juliet. Directed by Ann Ciccolella. The legendary story will be told in a new way: set in the 1930s with inspiration from the period crime drama “Peaky Blinders.” Accompanying music will be both live and recorded and include music from the mid-20th century as well as the 1930s.
Tickets are free, but reservations are necessary and can be made at austinshakespeare.org beginning May 1.
