Rowing Dock Earth Day Kayak Clean Up

Earth Day – Friday, April 22nd, 2022 – will mark the official launch of Rowing Dock’s first-annual Kayak Clean Up Crew Event, an all-day, city-wide lake and land clean up along multiple sections of Lady Bird Lake. The event will be free to participants. They will be invited to register for a 2-hour block of time to remove trash and will either be paddling by boat or traveling by foot. As a part of your registration, you’ll receive a tee-shirt, a goodie bag, and food and beverages – courtesy of our brand sponsors. Large prizes will be awarded throughout the day for those that bring back the most trash and the most unique item. There are goals for 2,000 volunteers, 10,000-20,000 pounds of trash picked up, and an increased commitment to future lake clean ups.
