The Secret Language of Houses: An Evening with Virginia Savage McAlester

Join Preservation Austin and the UTSOA Student Historic Preservation Association for “The Secret Language of Houses,” a special lecture by legendary architectural historian, activist, and founding member of Preservation Dallas Virginia Savage McAlester, Honorary AIA.
Named one of 1984’s ten most outstanding reference books by the American Library Association, Ms. McAlester’s “A Field Guide to American Houses” is a standard guide to our nation’s residential architecture across all eras and regions.
_Tickets are $15 for Preservation Austin members and $20 for non-members
_Waterloo Circle members receive complimentary admission and are invited to a special reception with Ms. McAlester following the lecture.
