The ultimate Renaissance Festival, the Sherwood Forest Faire is back for its 6th season.
The faire is a journey back in time based on the tales of Robin Hood and his Merry Men. It takes place on a 23-acre village in Lost Pines, and hosts more than 100 shoppes, pubs, restaurants, and stages so you feel completely submerged in a time long ago.
Imagine knights, jesters, wenches, pirates, lords, and peasants all roaming around and welcoming you to the village. Once inside, the village is your oyster; you can check out shows including jousting, juggling and live music. Or just wander around and visit the shoppes, try some of the renaissance faire, and see where the day takes you.
This is an event that is extremely family friendly, but they also encourage adults to come out on their own. They’ll have just as much fun with an afternoon of day-drinking, endless food and people watching.
The escape from reality exists just under 45 minutes east of Austin.
