SoCo Sip & Stroll

The local businesses on South Congress have come together with Life in Travis Heights Magazine to host the first ever SoCo Sip & Stroll, a family-friendly event benefitting the South Congress Merchants Association and celebrating the South Austin neighborhood. On Sunday, November 4 participating SoCo businesses will offer specials including discounts on Limbo Jewelry, grilled cheese sliders from Burro Cheese Kitchen and $5 off any cut at Birds Barbershop to name a few.

Attendees will check in next to Güero’s Taco Bar at the corner of South Congress and Elizabeth St. and receive a booklet and map of all participating businesses and their corresponding promotions. Those 21+ can kick off the day with a complimentary margarita at Güero’s and venture out and celebrate one of the most iconic streets in Austin. Make sure you take the little ones over to Jo’s Coffee where Santa will be outside the “I Love You So Much” mural from 2:30 – 5p.m. for complimentary photos courtesy of professional photographer James Herzberger. Other highlights for the kids will be at TOMS for a free drop in music class with the Armstrong Community Music School and face painting by the one and only Anna Chapovalov of Anna Body Art.
For your final stop, visit Güero’s Oak Garden for a wrap party from 6 – 8 p.m and enjoy live musical performances.
