SPON Day and Holiday Market at Jester King

Free2021 SPON Day at Jester King is coming up! Join us for an exciting event on SATURDAY, DECEMBER 11TH FROM 11AM-9PM. We’ll be releasing our annual three year blend of spontaneously fermented beer, feature some of our favorite spontaneously fermented beers and wines, and celebrate the holiday season with a holiday market that will include delicious bites from our kitchen, music, vendors, tours, goat photos & more!
We also have exciting tastings & tours as part of this year’s SPON Day:
1. We’ll be hosting a Jester King SPON beer and barrel room brewery tour with Sarah Lee. You’ll get a closer look at our 700 barrel fermentation room where she will guide you through the process of making SPON. December 11th at 11:30am. Purchase tickets on the Events page on our website. Must be 21+. Only 15 tickets available.
2. Our friend, Lewis Dickson of La Cruz de Comal Wines, will be hosting a one-hour private wine tasting accompanied by gourmet food pairings from Jester King Kitchen. The event will take place on December 11th at 3pm at the Jester King Inn. This tasting will deepen the knowledge of experts and novices alike on the intricacies of spontaneously fermented wines. Purchase tickets on the Events page on our website. Must be 21+. Only 20 tickets available.
3. Learn about the beers of SPON Day 2021 from those who deal with them the closest: head brewer Luis Aparicio and tasting room staff veteran and Texas Lambic Fest founder, Nic de la Rosa. They will give an in-depth perspective on spontaneously fermented beers, cellaring, and Spons from the past. Come with questions as this will be an opportunity to ask this knowledgeable panel all things Spon! Free & open to the public.
The 2021 SPON Three Year Blend and four additional SPON releases will be available Saturday, December 11th, and will be available while supplies last by the glass onsite and in bottles to go.
