Sunday Morning Math Circle: Learn the Math behind DNA

The Sunday Morning Math Group is an outreach event targeted at 6th-12th graders which attempts to supplement math topics that aren’t often covered in traditional math classes. The SMMG will be in room 5.104 of Robert Lee Moore Hall on the campus of UT on Sunday September 15th, 12-2pm.

In this session, we will see the amount of DNA in a strawberry as we appreciate the packaging challenges within cells, explore the topology of DNA, and learn how cells deal with DNA entanglements. There will be free bagels, free pastries, free coffee, and free street parking!
