Sunday Morning Math Group – Learn the Math of Computers

The Sunday Morning Math Group is an outreach event targeted at 6th-12th graders which attempts to supplement math topics that aren’t often covered in traditional math classes. The SMMG will be in room 4.102 of Robert Lee Moore Hall (on UT’s campus) on Sunday January 26 from 12-2pm.
You’ll discuss the idea of Turing machines, which is the fancy name for computers when we want to think about them by using math. Using this, you’ll be able to talk about why we can prove there are some things that computers will never ever be able to do!
