(Austin, TX) – Tapestry Dance Company, North America’s only full-time, professional repertory tap dance company presents its annual festival of rhythm with the 18th Annual Soul to Sole Festival, June 13th-17th. With master classes taught by a faculty of critically acclaimed artists, this one-of-a-kind festival brings dancers and teachers from around the world, swinging jazz, a rhythm showcase and a stunning faculty performance with The Souls of Our Feet Jazz Trio (Michael Stevens, Eddy Hobizal & Masumi Jones) at the Rollins Studio Theatre at The Long Center for the Performing Arts, 701 W. Riverside Drive.
The International Tap Association is headquartered in Austin, TX, with Soul to Sole being one of the most esteemed tap festivals in the world, attracting hundreds of dancers. The festival is a true celebration of a true indigenous American art form.
Over 75 master classes are taught in a five-day span by world-renowned dancers, six choreography courses, tap jams, and panel discussions. It also includes a participant showcase anchored by members of Tapestry Dance Company and a world-class rhythm showcase and faculty concert at the Rollins Studio Theatre at The Long Center.
