Urban Outfitters DIY: Indigo Dye Workshop

During this indigo intensive, we will cover the history, myth, and lore of indigo. This workshop will provide the fundamentals of this historic pattern-making process and will focus on folding, tying, and clamped resist methods.

You will learn a variety of methods for creating different patterns. We will provide material for you to practice with, as well as a cotton bandana for each attendee. The indigo vats will be set up for you to use and play! Feel free to bring your own goods to dye, but please avoid bulky pieces (towels, linens, bedding etc.), as vat space and time are limited. We’ll also have complimentary Topo Chico, Austin Eastciders and breakfast tacos for you to enjoy. Let’s dye it!
