If you’ve attended the Waller Creek Pop-Up Picnic, you know exactly the potential of the new Waller Creek Park project. Come by car, bus, bike, or on foot, spread your blanket, and enjoy picnic baskets prepared by some of Austin’s best restaurants. Or, bring your own basket and enjoy Palm Park while listening to great music, catching up with your friends, and watching the sun drop behind the city skyline.

The Waller Creek Conservancy hosts the picnic each spring to raise funds and awareness, but there’s no confusing it with a black-tie gala. It just feels like Austin being Austin, the kind of coming together that, when the project is complete, will be possible on Waller Creek every night of the year.
