ACL Live at The Moody Theater unveiled today the new incarnation of The Wine Down, a music series presented by Thorny Rose Wines along with fellow new collaborators Hail a Cab and the Austin Music Foundation, as well as returning supporter 2^ND Street District. This year’s The Wine Down series will spice up the beginning of the week by moving to Mondays, while cooling down the summer evenings by relocating inside on ACL Live’s air-conditioned floor.   The popular music series has become an anchor to driving people down to 2ND Street to experience lively nights of shopping, eating and strolling down the 2ND Street corridor.

“Thorny Rose Wines is a proud supporter of the Austin Music Foundation and their efforts to strengthen and connect the local music community,” said Paige Guzman, Marketing Director of new partner Thorny Rose Wines regarding their collaboration on the series.

Each week a different restaurant from the district and surrounding downtown area will be on-site providing food samples while guests enjoy happy hour priced glasses featuring Thorny Rose Wines.  Each evening’s entertainment will be once again emceed by KGSR and feature pop-up shops from local retailers. The 2014 series kicks off with a bang Monday, June 16^th, and runs every other week through August 25^th.

• June 16^th – Shinyribs with bites from Cantina Laredo
• June 30^th – Leopold & His Fiction with bites from TRACE
• July 14^th – Latasha Lee & The Black Ties with bites from III Forks
• July 28^th – Riders Against the Storm with bites from La Condesa
• August 11^th – Dawn & Hawkes with bites from The Bonneville
• August 25^th – The Harvest Thieves with bites from Mama Fu’s
