The second location of Gabriela’s Mexican restaurant and cantina, which has been a popular spot downtown since 2018, opens today at Southpark Meadows. To celebrate they are having a grand opening party today and will take walk-in guests beginning at 11:00 a.m. There will be discounted food items and drink specials, including their very good margaritas for just $5! So let’s spend all day there.

Founded by siblings and Michoacán natives Gabriela and Arturo Bucio, the menu inspired by family recipes with fresh ingredients. Several new seafood items have been added at this location. They also have a solid weekend brunch menu and great cocktails.

The exterior of the restaurant has is huge and has a full-service bar area, and a covered patio—all of which are dog-friendly. There’s an elevated stage for live music performances and local DJs, and a large wood-burning fire pit outside.
