Just when we needed it most, Austin’s patio dining scene got a new addition that has become our favorite new spot for these cooler months. The Garden at Ellera is an authentic Italian beer garden that serves up the freshest bites you can imagine from Boston and the greater New England area.

Inspired by the Boston Public Gardens, The Garden at Ellera has  lush greenery, a full bar, and indoor and outdoor seating. Guests can gather with friends and family to play games on the lawn and enjoy seasonal events. They’re also offering take out for getting a taste of all this at home.

After nearly a decade perfecting his culinary craft in Rome, Italy, Executive Chef Tim Lane returned to the U.S. with the dream of bringing classic Italian cooking to Austin. And now it’s all come true.

“With the exceptional work of Chef Lane, The Garden at Ellera is putting a rare Boston-style Italian twist on the outdoor dining experience that Austinites have come to love,” says the owner, Chris Meroff. “We have created a stunning outdoor setting for family and friends to gather and enjoy fresh seafood, Roma-style pizza, craft beers, and more under the Texas sky. We can’t wait to show guests what true New England dining is like right here in Austin’s Bee Cave.”

In addition to the casual dining environment at The Garden at Ellera, Austin is also getting a new upscale dining restaurant next door—Ellera—which will open in a couple of months! We love nothing more than writing about openings in this crazy time. Thankfully there are two more to add to your list.
