A popular art pop-up that debuted in Austin last year is opening a permanent location in Downtown San Antonio with new artists and rotating exhibitions and tickets for the opening day on October 2 are available now.
Hopscotch, an immersive art experience that’s almost tailor-made for Instagram greatness will have a new location occupies 20,000 square feet in the Travis Park Plaza Building at 711 Navarro St. in San Antonio. The two-story space will feature 14 uniquely curated installations from more than 40 local, national and international artists. Additional installations and works of art will also be displayed throughout the building, including stairwells, bathrooms, tilework and more, incorporating art into the framework of the space. Installations will change and rotate over time.
Tickets can be purchased online now and advanced ticket purchasing is strongly encouraged if you want to snag a specific date and avoid wait times. Hopscotch will offer guests complimentary three-hour parking validations for the Travis Park Plaza Garage, which is adjacent to the gallery.
During the era of COVID-19, they are taking enhanced precautions to make sure the experience is safe for both staff and guests—including state of the art automated air decontamination systems, limited touch points, mandatory masks and temperature checks for guests and employees, HEPA HVAC filters, professional deep cleans, hand sanitizer stations throughout, limited venue hours, and strict capacity limits.
