If you haven’t been to la Barbecue, you may have been living under a rock. If you haven’t been during the pandemic, you’re missing a great opportunity. With the lack of tourists and work lunches, I ordered a massive spread of barbecue from my phone at 11:45 a.m. on a Wednesday, and was diving into my feast less than 10 minutes later. No lines, and all the meats were available.

You can’t go wrong in ordering here, but be sure to snag some brisket, and at least one link of the chipotle sausage, which has twice been voted “King” at 365 Things Austin’s annual “Sausage Kings of Austin” competition. The truck is now located behind Quickie Pickie on Cesar Chavez, which allows you to snag a beer, wine, or Topo Chico to enjoy with your ‘cue, and they also host a good amount of covered patio seating as well.
