MOD Fitness, a fan favorite in Austin that was created by division one athlete Marnie Duncan, is expanding into South Austin. The new studio in Bouldin Creek is in the heart of 78704—right behind Gibson Bar and Odd Duck!

If you’ve never tried this studio, prepare yourself for a barre-based workout that takes an athletic approach to the principles of ballet, Pilates, and yoga. The full-body experience gives practitioners a long, toned physique, better posture, and increased flexibility.

In response to COVID-19, the new location is following the same strict protocols as the Burnet studio, operating at only 50% capacity, constant cleaning and sanitizing, and adhering to CDC guidelines at all times.

Free parking is limited in the front parking lot and secondary free street parking is available on Gibson and 8th Street. They have showers, retail, and a beautiful studio space with natural lighting!

To say hey to their new neighborhood, MOD is offering discounts on memberships to students and residents of nearby apartment buildings. They’re also giving new members half off of their first month when they sign up! It’s a great time to start a healthy habit. Mention 365 Things Austin and you’ll get 15% off of a Class Pack!

In her previous life, Kristy was an uninspired realtor who was feeling a little bit bored with her day to day. So on January 1, 2010, she made a New Year’s resolution to write about one thing to do each day in her beloved city of Austin, Texas. And thus, 365 Things Austin was born.
