In some of the most exciting cheese news we’ve had in a while, a special Champions League edition of Quesoff has just been announced! The annual and delicious event will have a unique format for these times, with past champs and special guests invited to compete.

To keep everyone safe they are also mixing things up with staggered entry times for guests, and only 25-30 people on each floor at any given time. It’s all outdoors and you gotta wear a mask when you aren’t stuffing your face with queso.

They will host 12 total teams, including past winners Better Half, Eldorado Cafe, Cheesus and Austin Facial Hair Club; along with Olamaie, Comedor, La Condesa, JuiceLand, Tacodeli, and Hawk’s Hot Chicken (Waco).

The esteemed panel of judges for 2021 is comprised of Stacy Franklin, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer, Franklin Barbecue, and President, Les Dames d’Escoffier Austin Chapter; Matthew Odam – Restaurant Critic, Austin American-Statesman; and Team Coyöte, Matt Bearden’s new show on KLBJ, with his co-hosts Abby Rosenquist and Spencer Williams.

This year, they will also have a lead-up Quesoff Challenge with local restaurants in conjunction with the food bank. Participating restaurants will donate $1 for each queso dish sold in the month of May. The restaurant that contributes the highest amount to CTFB via queso sales will be invited to compete in the Quesoff Champions League.

Tickets for each hour of Quesoff are now on sale here—100 percent of those proceeds go to the Central Texas Food Bank. And Tacodeli has donated all the chips!!
