It’s the 10th anniversary of Terrence Malick’s Cannes Palme d’Or winner, The Tree of Life, which was filmed right here in Central Texas. The Paramount’s Summer Classic Film Series is a great Austin tradition! The movie follows the impressionistic life journey of the eldest son of a Midwestern family in the 1950s, through the innocence of childhood to his disillusioned adult years as he tries to reconcile a complicated relationship with his father.
