Texas Farmers’ Market at Mueller 

Make your way over to Mueller every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to sip, stroll, and shop fresh local food. Voted Austin’s favorite farmers’ market via the Austin Chronicle for the past six years and counting, TFM at Mueller is a family and local fave every Sunday to peruse, eat, and enjoy artisan foods from local vendors.

Socially Distanced Trivia Night at Hotel Vegas

Every Wednesday evening at Hotel Vegas and Volstead, they’re bringing you socially distanced trivia night! The themes this month are: The Queens Gambit on the 6th, Selena on the 13th, How I Met Your Mother on the 20th, and Wine & True Crime on the 27th. The quiz will be played electronically, so no answer sheets have to be exchanged. They’ll have themed drinks, specials, plenty of space, and prizes.

Every Thursday at Rosewood, enjoy all-night happy hour, featuring $3 off select cocktails and wine, $2 off draft beer, and $2 off select snacks.

Poolside Yoga at Austin Proper

Revitalize your mind, body, and soul with Liz Davis poolside at Austin Proper Hotel. Her intuitive 60-minute classes are designed to bring students back to their center—guiding them to a deeper level of physical and emotional awareness. The practice is intended for participants of all levels. Classes start at 10 a.m. and are $25.

Art + Music Night at The Cathedral

Art + Music Nights at The Cathedral are a safe haven for the community to listen to live music, sip margaritas, and shop local art from atxGALS. Socially distant private seatings are by reservation only for groups of up to six people per table or lounge.

Trivia Night at Celis Brewery

Texas Red hosts a unique and entertaining trivia show every Thursday night at Celis Brewery starting at 7 p.m. It’s free to play and includes four rounds and four winners of great brewery prizes. Play by yourself, or with a friend or two. There will be a trophy to the top team at the end of the night.

January 6th

Dinner and Show Songwriter Series

On January 6th and 13th, head upstairs at Lamberts to hear talented local Austin artists with host Jason Robert Blum. Guests may reserve tables for groups of two, four, or six and enjoy full dinner service in a safely distanced, intimate performance setting. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Virtual Trivia Night – 2020 In Review

Put your arts and entertainment knowledge to the test with Texas Performing Arts’ Virtual Trivia Night! This week’s theme is 2020 In Review. Winners will receive a signed Broadway poster from a past show. Starts at 7 p.m., and you must RSVP by 4 p.m. You’ll get a link to join in on the fun 30 minutes before the event.

January 7th

Jumanji, King Kong, and Labyrinth at Doc’s Drive-In

Doc’s Drive-In Theater has an action packed line-up on Thursday, January 7th. The evening starts out at 6:30 p.m. with Jumanji- The Next Level followed by King Kong at 7:30 and ends with Labyrinth at 9:15. Car slots are $12 and include admission for one. Additional adult tickets are $10, and children tickets are $6.

Antonelli’s Cheese Shop’s A Virtual Perfect Pair: Cheese & Pickles 

What is better than eating cheese on its own? Enjoying it with the briny bite of a pickle. Pickled cherries, okra, and more will be showcased in this “7 Styles of Cheese” tastings by Antonelli’s. You’ll be guided through each style of cheese and taste specific examples (both pasteurized and unpasteurized), accompanied by olives, and Easy Tiger bread. The tasting is $45, and contactless delivery and curbside pickup are available.

January 8th

Them Dirty Roses at Antone’s

Them Dirty Roses are a living example of the quintessential rock and roll American Dream and are putting on two shows at Antone’s on the 8th for y’all to enjoy. Their early show starts at 6 p.m. and is followed by their second one at 9:30. The show is operating at a limited capacity of 20 percent, and reserved tables are available for purchase.

Black Panther at The Globe Drive-In

Put on your comfy clothes and head over to The Globe Drive-In Theater for their showing of Black Panther at 9 p.m. Doors open at 8:15 p.m. and spots are assigned by car size and a first come, first served basis.

Deadmau5 x Lights All Night at Brushy Creek Amphitheater 

Let loose for the night with the entrancing sounds of Deadmau5 at Brushy Creek Amphitheater. This is a POD concert, which means you are purchasing a private and socially distanced area for yourself and up to four additional guests. You will only receive one ticket per POD, and this is good for one to five guests. All members of your group must be present upon entering Brushy Creek Amphitheater, there will be no exception. Doors are at 6:00 p.m. and the show starts at 8:00.

January 9th

Public Picnic Days at Barr Mansion

Get out of the house while staying safe at Barr Mansion. Their public picnics are planned with social distancing in mind, and plenty of room to spread out and be outside. Bring the kids, roast a Barr dog, or char some s’mores over an open fire. There will be lots of adult fun too with savory cocktails on hand and live music from our favorite local musicians. Reservations are required.

Afternoon Tea at The Driskill

Enjoy a delightful Victorian Afternoon Tea at Austin’s original and historic hotel, The Driskill. Savor three scrumptious courses of classic French pastries and petit fours, and delicate finger sandwiches as you leisurely sip premium loose leaf teas and sparkling wine. Stay as long as you’d like for a quaint afternoon and memorable experience in this beautifully historic hotel. Adult tickets are $80 and children are $45. Tickets include three courses and endless local Austin Zhi Tea and sparkling wine.

January 10th

Sound Bath with ATX Yoga Girl

Start the new year at The Carpenter Hotel with a nourishing Sound Bath Meditation in the Q hut. Guided by Cynthia Bernard, founder of ATX Yoga Girl, this journey promises to be a relaxing and meditative experience where participants “bathe” in the vibrations emitted from instruments such as chimes, Quartz, and Tibetan bowls. It starts at 9 a.m. and costs $25.

January 11th

Speed Dating in ATX at Hen House

Check out the Hen House on January 11th for a low-key, sophisticated approach to dating in Austin. Meeting your special someone shouldn’t be anything but a comfortable and relaxed experience, and SpeedAustin Dating is a refreshing less-is-more environment devoid of typical event trappings. Tickets cost $31.50.

January 12th

Antonelli’s Cheese Shop’s – A Chocolate and Cheese Tasting

There are few things that inspire happiness quite like cheese and chocolate, and Antonelli’s is bringing you the best of both with their guided virtual tasting. Each plate includes seven cheeses and seven chocolates. The tasting is $50, and contactless delivery and curbside pickup are available.

January 13th

Good Vibes Only Ft. The Deer

Introducing Good Vibes Only, the Long Center’s series of free, fully produced performances from local artists safely recorded in the Rollins Studio Theatre. These performances are free and focused on what has kept Austin’s culture so cool—great music, bold creativity, and really good vibes.

Couples Class: Make Sparks Fly

Experience a fun, hands-on blacksmithing class with this special evening date-night on the basics of working hot metal in Pioneer Farm’s historic smithy. Couples will get an introduction to forges and fires, and will complete a simple project they can take home. No previous blacksmithing experience is required. The class starts at 5:30 p.m and is $150 for two people.

January 14th

Donate Blood, Get A Free Cinnabon

January 14th is the last day that We Are Blood is partnering with Schlotzsky’s by offering blood donors a free Cinnabon Minibon. Donate blood or platelets to get a voucher redeemable at select Schlotzsky’s. Appointments are mandatory; schedule online or call 512-206-1266.

Racial Equality Series

“The Path to Racial Equity: Practical Steps Toward a More Equal Society” is a six-week conversation series with community experts examining the issues and offering steps Austinites can take to be part of the solution. Registration is free and open to the public. You can sign up here. The series starts on the 14th and takes place on Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. through February 18th.

Hotel Free TV! Ft. Blakchyl, HOTMOM, Banshee Rose, Rosalind Hussell

Hotel Free TV is a DIY life support machine for the local music scene, created to plug the hole in our hearts where live music used to be. It’s a safe space for free expression, where the creative community can share, discover, and collaborate. This virtual residency program gives artists a platform to showcase new music that would otherwise be confined to their practice spaces. The featured artists this week are Blakchyl, HOTMOM, Banshee Rose, and Rosalind Hussell.

January 15th

Donnell Rawlings: Live In Austin at Vulcan

The one and only Donnell Rawlings is coming to the stage in Austin to headline two unforgettable nights at the Vulcan Gas Company on January 15th and 16th at 7:30 p.m. This man doesn’t need much of an introduction. You know him from years and years of traveling the world making everyone laugh. Grab your table (mostly six per table, some four tops and two tops) before you are stuck wishing you had.

January 16th

New Year Vision Board Workshop

Set your intention for 2021 by making your own collage vision board with mixed media artist Whitney Avra. Either provide your own materials or order a kit with supplies for delivery or local pickup. Live versions of the workshop take place at the Cathedral; visit www.thecathedralatx.com for details and to reserve tables for up to six people for $200 (supplies included). January 18th

MLK Celebration – Day of Service 

United Way for Greater Austin and Hands on Central Texas invites you to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a day of service. This is a national initiative to strengthen communities, bridge barriers between different groups of people, create solutions to our social problems and move us closer to Dr. King’s vision of a “Beloved Community.” Thousands of individuals around the U.S. honor Dr. King’s legacy on this day by participating in volunteer projects that encourage community collaboration and make our towns a better place to live. January 19th

Making Minimalism and Zero Waste Meaningful

Join the City of Austin for an Imagine Austin Speaker Series that will help you make your New Year’s Resolutions to clear out clutter or cut your carbon footprint stick. Minimalism and zero waste can help you reduce expenses and stress, and serve as a sustainability strategy. Speaker Dara Zycherman is the owner of the local Austin business Less Equals More and is an expert on the intersection between organization, minimalism, and sustainability. The webinar is free and starts at 5 p.m.

January 21st

John Doe Live From Cactus Cafe

For the last in his three-show series, John Doe is going to play as many requests as he can remember and fit into 75+ minutes. This will be just him and his lonesome guitar live from The Cactus Cafe on the UT Austin campus. Make your requests on Instagram @theejohndoe.

Tim Dillon at The Paramount Theater

The Paramount Theater welcomes stand up comedian, writer, and actor, Tim Dillon from January 21st through the 23rd. Tickets are $22. Doors are at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m. Additional showtimes are Jan. 22nd, 7 p.m., Jan. 22nd, 10 p.m., Jan. 23rd, 7 p.m., and Jan. 23rd, 10 p.m.

Prosciutto, Salami, & Cheese … Oh My! A Virtual Cheese & Charcuterie Class

This class is one of Antonelli’s most popular classes that usually sells out quickly. They showcase five different cheeses, a mix of both pasteurized and unpasteurized each paired with one of our small batch meats. This tasting gives you the chance to play with the amazing flavors that charcuterie has to offer. The class is $55 and contactless delivery and curbside pickup are available.

January 22nd

A Taste of Glassblowing Workshop

For the complete beginner, looking for that first experience with molten glass, Ghost Pepper Glass offers its “Taste Of Glassblowing” workshops for $65 a person. Individuals, couples and groups can come in and each make a unique souvenir with the help of a professional instructor. Classes are Friday and Saturday nights at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.

January 23rd

The Watters: Intuition Album Release Show at Far Out Lounge

After recording two albums and playing relentlessly around Austin for five years, The Watters are preparing to release their new album Intuition on January 23rd. The primary genre is heavy with profound lyrics delivered with buoyancy and amusement. The show starts at 7 p.m. and tickets start at $10.

January 24th

Cornhole Tournament at Central Machine Works

Central Machine Work’s cornhole tournament is open to all skill levels. The competition is set to friendly. Come out and show off your skills and have a fun day with fellow cornhole enthusiasts. Check ins start at 11 a.m. and games kickoff at noon. It costs $29 to sign up as an individual or $50 as a team of two.

Home Bartending 101 at The Roosevelt Room

Learn how to craft delicious cocktails like the pros with this two-hour introductory course covering all of the cocktail basics, led by members of Roosevelt Room’s talented bar staff. Attendees will learn the tools of the trade, and how to properly measure, shake, stir, strain, and garnish. Each attendee will also get to enjoy three cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, all while learning a brief history of the drinks being made. In-person tickets cost $85, and $40 for virtual attendance. Class promptly begins at noon and concludes at 2:30 p.m.

January 25th

Coed Kickball Tournament

This tournament is open to all skill levels. Join with a small group or solo as a free agent and you’ll be placed on a team. Every team will have three games guaranteed. The winning team will get championship T-shirts and a trophy! Games run from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Registration is $435 as a team or $55 as in individual. T-shirt and equipment is included.

January 27th

Sundance Film Festival

Welcome to the 2021 Sundance Film Festival. A new chapter filled with possibilities going on January 28th through February 3rd. Despite the challenges this year has brought, nothing could stop Sundance from celebrating independent film, visionary artists, unique perspectives, and you, Sundance’s adventurous audiences. B Movies and Bad History: Outbreaks 

With the threat of a pandemic no longer a possibility but a reality, join experts from the fields of film and public health for a look back at some of the best (and worst) examples of outbreaks on screen. From the laughable to the plausible, you’ll see these flicks in a whole new light. Takes place online with the Bullock Museum and costs $5.

January 29th

A Virtual Antonelli’s Cheese Date Night

Each ticket to Antonelli’s Virtual Date Night will reserve plates for two guests. You and your date will enjoy shared composed boards including cheese, charcuterie, and assorted craft chocolates and other sweets! While they will be on-hand to guide you through your tasting, this is a Date Night, so they will introduce all the delicious products and then be around if you want more information. You and your date get to enjoy your experience at your own pace. Tickets are $110 for two people.

January 30th
