Each Tuesday, one of Zanzibar’s talented bartenders will be shakin’ up a fresh specialty cocktail inspired by tropical flavors. Rotating monthly from sweet and fruity to spicy and bold, there will be something new to tiki your taste buds every Tuesday. This May’s featured cocktail is the Lime in the Coconut, made with rum, coconut liquor, orgeat, lime for $16.

Every Wednesday head over to the Moody Amphitheater to learn the structure, etiquette and culture of a unique variety of Latin dance classes such as Tango, Samba and Salsa Aerobics, led by Esquina Tango. Class starts at 6:30 p.m.

Peckerheads Comedy Show

Peckerheads Comedy Show is the best weekly comedy show in ATX. The Peckerheads Comedy Show is a variety show that ALWAYS consists of the top young rising comics of Austin AND currently touring here for the weekend.

A Chance To Rock Fundraiser 

New Austin-based nonprofit initiative “A Chance to Rock” is excited to announce their second fundraising event of the year taking place on Monday, May 1st upstairs at Antone’s Nightclub featuring a never-before-seen, collaborative performance from Kathy Valentine (The Go-Go’s, Rock n Roll Hall of Fame) and indie rock phenom Zach Person who will be playing together on stage for the very first time, and who are also both local ambassadors for the nonprofit. The event will also feature guest speakers sharing how “A Chance to Rock” has impacted their lives. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the event starts at 7 p.m.

Cold Brew Comedy 

Cold Brew Comedy is a stand up comedy show with a line up of some of the best comedians in Austin, TX, hosted at one of the city’s most loved downtown venues. Located inside the first floor of Native Hostel, there will be a full liquor and coffee bar. Straight Up With Stassi Live

Fill up your Aperol spritzes! Stassi Schroeder Clark is back on the road with Straight Up With Stassi LIVE – The Mommy Dearest Tour! Mitzvah! Live Stand-Up Comedy

Mitzvah is Austin’s first comedy show with an all-Jewish lineup. Held at the historic, intimate Pershing Hall and guaranteed to be a better time than Seinfeld. This show is open for Jews and Gentiles alike so come watch the funniest religion at their craft!

Journal ATX: Full Moon and Journal

What’s better than writing your thoughts to paper and then taking a plunge with old and new friends to welcome in the new summer season? Journal ATX is hosting their second Full Moon Swim and Journal. Journal ATX is a local group here in Austin Texas founded on the premise of making close friends while engaging in fun activities. This event will be free for all attendees! The only entry requirement is the $5 fee to enter Barton Springs Pool.

3rd Annual Dachshund Dash and Kentucky Derby Watch Party

Jeff Dye is a nationally touring comedian, actor, host, prankster, and Bigfoot enthusiast. Dye has performed on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,” finished 3rd on “Last Comic Standing,” and has had his own “Comedy Central Presents” special.
