Before Daylight Savings Time turns back our clocks, spend your evening hours at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, which is open late every throughout October! This is truly one of our city’s most awe-inspiring places and fall is the perfect time to enjoy the setting.

Tuesdays this month, they are offering a special menu from Wildflower Café, which includes charcuterie boxes, chips & queso, and all different kinds of tacos from brisket to cilantro-lime cauliflower. Everything is in grab-and-go containers so you can find your perfect picnic spot and dine al fresco. While you are there, you can also experience Fortlandia, their imaginative exhibition of original fort designs in the Texas Arboretum.

They also have beer, wine and a special prickly pear mojito. Capacity is limited and reservations are required. Reserve your tickets here. Tuesday Twilights are included with regular admission. All admissions are by reservation and are always free for members.

In her previous life, Kristy was an uninspired realtor who was feeling a little bit bored with her day to day. So on January 1, 2010, she made a New Year’s resolution to write about one thing to do each day in her beloved city of Austin, Texas. And thus, 365 Things Austin was born.
